The visit centered around presentations by IPM and TU Vienna on ongoing and recently completed research. Assistant Professor Petr Miarka took this opportunity to give an informative insight into his research on fracture mechanics and material fatigue. On the part of the TU Vienna team, the focus was on current work with recycled material and future planned experiments. Of course, the possibility of further future cooperation was also discussed and time was also found for a tour of some of the IPM’s laboratory facilities.
In addition to the scientific exchange, the visit also included a tour of the city and the Starobrno brewery. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Assistant Professor Petr Miarka for the organization and planning.
