Nigrad Pilot Project Upscaling and testing of green and bio-concrete products

Sustainable acoustic panels made from hemp–lime biocomposites were installed in a pilot project in Dogoše near Maribor, Slovenia, as part of Activity 2.2 of the ReBuilt project. Developed from renewable and recycled materials, the panels were tested under real building conditions to evaluate their acoustic, environmental, and fire performance. The pilot demonstrates how bio-based construction solutions can support circular design and reduce the environmental impact of modern buildings.

Visit from Prof. Stojan Kravanja and Assistant Prof. Gregor Kravanja

Professors Kravanja visited the TU Science Center, engaging in an inspiring exchange of ideas focused on sustainable building materials and circular construction. The visit was highlighted by presentations from Professor Merta and Assistant Professor Kravanja.

The construction industry heavily contributes to resource consumption, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions. The adoption of circular and digital practices can help reduce the environmental impact of the sector. The ReBuilt project promotes these approaches in an education programme and deploys new solutions. The partners also design a transnational circular and digital construction strategy that builds on green labelling, end-of-waste criteria, and green public procurement.

You can pay us a visit on our official project webpage: https://www.interreg-central.eu/projects/rebuilt/

This project is supported by the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund.
